Clever Old Dog

Just been to a lovely party held by my old pals Roland and Claire Muldoon.

They organise comedy events all over the place, they used to run the Hackney Empire Theatre in London and before that they ran comedy gigs back in the 1980's when I started pratting about on stage.

And before that in the 1970's they ran a political theatre company called CAST, and before that when they ran wierd 'Art workshops' in London in the 1960's an American guitarist used to hang out at their flat in London. His name was Jimi Hendrix.

So they have quite a history, and what's great about Roland is, he's actually older than me. Result!

But that's nothing, Roland owns a legendary dog called Sid.

Here's Sid's hit YouTube video.

I found Carpool from following Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars getting Coffee. The referrer found Seinfeld entertaining but extremely smug and preferred Carpool. Just wanted to say what a great series you've made. I'd not heard of you before (not seen Red Dwarf etc) but find you such a very genial presence and funny with it. Seinfeld's series is funny but the self-congratulation often grates. There's none of that in Carpool. You've got such a nice, friendly presence with no 'side' at all - that's quite a rare quality to have. Love your show!

Dear Robert, I do hope you do not mind me contacting you through here. I have been trying to contact you through your agent but unfortunately i have had no reply. We would love to invite you to our event, Sci Fi by The Seaquel (its our second one). We are being joined this year so far by Chris Barrie and Hattie Hayridge as well as David Prowse (Darth Vadar) and would dearly love to have you with us.

The event is not a full on geek fest convention, it is more a family sci fi fun day is is being held on Fathers day, Sunday 15th June 2014 in Herne Bay in Kent and attracts several thousand people (last years attendance was just shy of 5000 with in excess of 7000 expected this year).

The event is a family day and part convention and part fun day. We have props from various Sci fi programs (Red dwarf, Dr Who, Star Wars, etc etc), a dozen Daleks, Tardis's, Lady Cassandra, K9's, Oods, Silence, Sisters of Plenitude and other characters, cars from Batman and Transformers as well as other star cars, a full size Velociraptor, entertainment for kids and adults including stall (50+) photos and 100 professional costumers who are all will to pose with the public and much more to announce soon as well as around 100 professional costumers to pose with and entertain the public.

We have a warm indoor area and an outdoor arena the size of 3 football pitches

The aim of the event is to raise funds for local charities (last year we raised many thousands for Kent air Ambulance, Local Dogs Trust and Cancer Research) and to fund additional projects throughout the year including a free air show and other fund raising events.

We are totally non profit making and every penny raised is ploughed back into the community. a further example is our involvement in the Herne Bay Christmas tree and lights this year after the local council axed funding for the town.

Last year our star guest was Mr Colin Baker who spent the day with us signing autographs and having his picture taken (obviously for a fee which he retained) and had a queue 20 people deep all day long. Our stewards kept the crowd down and made sure he was well fed and watered.

If you would be able to attend we would be honoured and would be happy to discuss any requirements you may have such as appearance fees, accommodation etc etc.

I should add that if the entire day is a big ask we would be happy to have a shorter attendance to wow our crowd

If i can provide any further information please do not hesitate to email me and i look forward very much to your reply.
