Red Dwarf is 24 years old

Yes indeed ladies and gentlemen, Red Dwarf is 24 years old today. The very first episode was broadcast on this day in 1988.

The new series, Red Dwarf X will be broadcast later this year on Dave in the UK and then everywhere else in the known universe soon after. The exact dates are still not known I've been told, sometime late September, early November. Six new episodes, recorded in front of an audience, classic Red Dwarf.

Here is a silly clip we did a couple of weeks ago, and by the way, the studio was very cold, hence the coats.

Can't embed the video for some reason.

"The new series, Red Dwarf X will be broadcast...everywhere else in the known universe soon after."

Will that be on all known frequencies, and in all known languages - including Welsh?

Great blog Rob. can't wait for the new series. Great to see it's going back to the old school with model work rather than CGI, and with a live studio audience. Looking forward to it. Been enjoying your audiobook to, very entertaining.
