Kryten's new head

A few critical comments have reached me about the shape of Kryten's head.

Can I just assure viewers of the new series of Red Dwarf, which starts at 9pm on October 4th on Dave in the UK, that Kryten is most upset at some of the unkind descriptions.

He's pictured here admonishing the humanoids who've suggested his nose looks like it's been squashed up against the tumble dryer window containing Mr Listers freshly smeg free smalls.

It's the eyes that bother me most of all, to be perfectly honest. But that said, none of these facial issues came across in the live recording, so it might just be an unfortunate angle for the still shots.
Looking forward to the new series - excitement levels at critical...

What I wonder is why his 'chest monitor' which once displayed seedy details of JFK's life now looks more like something a teenage boy would use to record his seedy exploits of self investigation? But nevermind, so long as the episodes are good no one will mind how much Kryten's nose resembles Archie or his chest monitor resembles a webcam.

I think Krytie looks gorgeous. I'm just so happy to see him again. I was a makeup artist for 14 years, and won an Academy Award for Dick Tracy. I like the choices that were made just fine, and can't wait for the new series (whenever we are able to get it here in the States).

Is it just me or have they tried to make you look like David Ross's Kryten? If so I think that's rather clever, if not I think that's a weird coincidence.

Kryten looks awesome and there's no just cause for anyone to post unkind comments. @Michael - his 'chest monitor' changes every series as do various other things. I don't know why but maybe it's to show that Lister constantly tinkers with Kryten's bits (no pun intended).

As a fan of RD since 1988, I am very fond of this series so far (yes the one episode was enough!).

Also @Doug Drexier - did you used to live in the UK, and is your dad a forklift driving instructor? Random question I know.
